Adfam is a national charity working to help and better the life for families who are affected by alcohol and drugs. At Adfam we want anyone affected by a family members addiction to drugs or alcohol to be able to benefit from healthy relationships as well as feel part of a loving and supportive family whilst enjoying mental and physical wellbeing.
Drug and alcohol usage encourages physical, emotional and financial imbalances which can destroy family relationships.
We engage family members and caregivers collective participation support to change this course of direction.
Our Core Values
We listen to families and workers in order to help People who have experienced these type of problems most likely can provide some solutions. So, thanks to our supporters we plan a course of action: using empathy and proofs we notify, encourage and empower both workers that cooperate with those that suffer from a substance abuse of family members, as well as those family members. For individuals we assemble skills, assets, confidence and pathways to help them themselves, their companions, customers, and communities.
We're Driven By What Works
Our aim is to improve health and happiness decisions in family set up, work place and social gatherings. This is the secret behind our dynamic approach to drug and alcohol abuse. We accept evidence regardless of how different it might be, paying equal attention to both practical evidence and official research data in order to do this. We listen to our peers, supporters and friends and we base our work on their advice.
We're Serious About Our Mission
Our overall objective is driven by commitment and partnering with organisations which share similar sentiments towards addiction rehabilitation. We are commit to treating families and individuals that suffer the consequences of substance abuse with consideration and honour because we understand that discrimination and disgrace are obstacles to recovery and cause damage. We are going to fight until society accepts drug and alcohol addicts and their families without shaming them.
